Greenstar 28i junior Combi Boiler no mains indicator?

Sean H asked:

Hi all, we had the boiler fitted 6 months ago and it has always worked fine, however after recently visiting a friend who also happens to have the same boiler we discovered that the mains indicator (blue oval light) should be constantly illuminated.

This has never been the case with ours, it will illuminate for a few seconds when powering up as well as all the other LEDs but then go out.

Does this mean there is a fault present? Should we contact Worcester Bosch before the warranty expires?

I just went in and flipped the switch and nothing happen. no sound at all? i have a town home that im renting but i know the complex is less then 3 years old. What could be wrong? do i need to call a repair man? plumber? electric? very unsure…

pammapajamma asked:

The plumber said it wasnt sealed right. and 1 of the plastic panels is not glued to the wallboard and it flaps out. Will a fibre glass repair kit work?
& how do I prevent the one panel from bulging out and ruining the seal at the bottom?

Roberto R asked:

Our boiler had a leak, not sure where the water was coming from.
The pilot light was wet and the plumber replaced it. After replacing the pilot it is not leaking and is operating fine. Should we replace it ?
Should a steam boiler last less than 20 years. It is made of cast iron.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. The cost of a new one is 7k
