Question for a plumber Water in bathroom yellow?
I live in a house that is about 2 years old and I just noticed that the water in my guest restroom is yellow. The water in the toilet sink and bathtub faucet. The other faucets in the house are fine. What could be the problem?
I just checked again and it is all of our faucets and toilets. And we use our guest bathroom all the time.

Rust and mineral deposits in the pipes. Apparently you do not use the water in those locations as much as the rest of the house, so you dont notice it anywhere else. chances are if you were to let the water sit in the other toilets long enough, they would also have that weird color.

u don’t use them enough so minerals in the water build up in these water lines open these taps and flush toilet at least once a week and problem should go. or have a water filter installed on the water line into house that removes nasties from water.

So you’re saying the plumbing is only 2 years old? Does the water clear up after you run it for several seconds? If you answer yes to those two questions, it sounds to me like there is a piece of galvanized pipe or a nail or something that is corroding inside the pipe, making it yellow.
