Where to find acting auditions in the UK?
I’ve never done any acting before, other than in high school, and i have no qualifications in the subject, but i think that i’m not too bad an actor.
I’d like to give it a shot cause no harm can come of it, but i don’t know where i should be lookin, what are good agenceis, which to avoid etc etc
i’m near brighton in southern england, so any pointers of where to find auditions is greatly appreciated =]
thanks!

You really need to join an agency. Since you live pretty close to London you might be able to join one there. Try aj management or abacus or any of the big agencies. Also buy a book called Contacts 2009. If your nearest bookshop doesn’t have it, ask them to order it in for you. It has lists of agencies and their contact details in it. By the way how old are you? There’s some drama classes for up to 18 year olds or sometimes even older. It’d be a good idea to join acting classes, because at auditions they expect you to be really good and professional. You could try joining an extra agency first because you can then add any experience to your CV. Also acting agencies might be more likely to take you on then. Good luck and don’t give up if its something you really want!
