pilot light won’t stay lit on my boiler?
i have a Sirrus Radiant wall hung boiler. This morning it had a red light and was flashing ‘2′ which i guess is an error code. Turning it off then on got the pilot light to come back. When i used hot water the water went cold and light went off within 10mins.
Does anyone know what could cause this problem?
should i get the plumber out on an emergency call?

Yes, it’s a fault in the appliance, maybe the gas jets are blocked and need cleaning out. Best call a plumber (gasfitter).

The nozzle where gas is coming out probably is dirty and clogged or maybe wet. Clean it and dry it with a rug and then reset the system by pushing the igniter button.

Replace the thermocouple, it is faulty, when functional it opening and closing of the gas to the unit. It is a safe item so that unburned gas is not flowing into you house which will explode.
