How does a home owner know that thier boiler needs to be replaced ? Boiler is 19 yrs old, and had leaked. ?

The pilot light was wet and the plumber replaced it. After replacing the pilot it is not leaking and is operating fine. Should we replace it ?
Should a steam boiler last less than 20 years. It is made of cast iron.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. The cost of a new one is 7k

steam boilers take alot of abuse from the heating and cooling…especially if you dont use any kind of conditioner in your water…20 years isn’t too long for a boiler to run as long as you take care of it…
